while trying to open Temp File;

This sounds like you don't have your TEMP file defined in your Windows OS environment.
1. Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel
2. Click on System.
3. Click on Environment
4. In the User Variables for... you should see a variable called "TEMP" with a value of "C:\TEMP"
5. If not there, then click in that white box, type in Variable: TEMP, Value: C:\TEMP, and click on [Set] to create one.

You may have to re-boot windows.
Test the problem again.
PAF uses this TEMP to create temporary files, make sure there is enough space on your hard drive for it. I put this on my D:\TEMP because I have more space there for very large PAF files, when doing PAF4 File Conversions or Match/Merging.
