I suggest getting Edward's death certificate from the PA Dept of Health: http://www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/health/cwp/view.asp?Q=202275&a=168
It costs $3 and should list his parents including his mother's maiden name. If you check the index it should also give you a clue as to which county he died in. Take note that he lived in Lancaster County in 1920. Also keep in mind he apparently went by Edward, Henry or H.E. Demuth.
For research in Franklin County check with the Franklin County Historical Society although there are a few other similar organizations in Franklin County to consider depending on where in the county he died.
For research in York County try the York County Heritage Center. They have a very nice research library.
