Is there anyone researching this name or other variations of spelling? Johan Jacob Rumpfellt came to the U.S. from Germany in 1734, he and his family were in Lehigh and Northampton Co's. His son, Heinrich came with him along with other family members. Heinrich married Anna Barbara, possibly last name,Fruhman, they had 11 children, all were born in Upper Saucon, Lehigh Co. Pa.Anna Margarethe married Johan Adam STECHER, Cathrina married Johan Michael SCHMIDT, Johannes married Anna Margaretha UNKNOWN, Henry married Mary FITE,Johan Jacob married Margaret SCHMIDT, Andreas died at age 3 mo. Casper married Catherine SCHAUTZENBACH, Hanna married UNKNOWN, Phillip Jacob married Mary SCHNEIDER, and Susanna married John George SCHOLL.They all stayed in Pennsylvania, as far as I know, some of them could have moved to New York, except Henry, he lived in New Jersey, then moved to North Carolina, where he and wife Mary Fite are buried. Henry was my third great grandfather and I have quite a lot of information on his family to the present but don't have much on the rest of Heinrich's family that stayed in Pa. This family is scattered all over the United States with the largest concentration being in North Carolina. If anyone is researching this family in Pa, please let me hear from you. Maybe we can share information. Thank you so much.
