Yes, Clint, the Golden Key Inn still exists as does the intersection and the highway. The Inn has recently changed hands and has a different name I believe. The highway you mentioned is in actuality Old Rt. 22 - the main highway from Allentown to Harrisburg before the erection of the interstate highway system in the 1950's. Rt. 22 was then built parallel to the old road as a 4 lane limited access. In the 1990's things changed again and that section of Rt. 22 is now I-78 from I-81 east through the Golden Key (or New Smithville) area, through Allentown and on into NJ. The easiest path to the Inn and intersection is I-78 E or W, exiting at the New Smithville exit. Then only a few hundred feet to the south. Maybe not surprisingly, the intersection is and always has been a dangerous one in my lifetime.
