On page 380B of the 1880 census for Salisbury Twp.,Lehigh County,Pa.,is a GROOSKOP family. James,age 62,wife Ellen C.,age 27,children;Lucinda(7),Emma(4),Charles(3). Also listed are James Peifer(age 21)and Charles Peifer(age 19),both listed as Brother-in-laws. My g-grandfather was a James Peifer and he had a brother Charles. We have very little info on the Peifer family. Does anyone know of the Grooskop family and their connection to the Peifer family? Thanks in advance.
