I'm looking for information on Maria (Mary) RUPP (1801 - ?) and her family. She m. unknown KAUFFMAN (no information at all - would love some), was the daughter of John (Johan) Georges RUPP (1758 - 1807) and Anna Catherine GUTH (1759 - 1820), and the granddaughter of Jean Georges RUPP (1721 - 1807) and Maria Ursula Von PETERHOLTZ (1723 - 1800). There is a possibility that Maria RUPP and unknown KAUFFMAN are my GrGrGrandparents but I lack a connection between them and the information I do possess. My GrGrandfather, Joseph COFFMAN (1819 - 1928) - that's the way he spelled the name - told my father a family story that fits with this ancestry but he did not name his parents or a specific place of birth, other than PA. He did say he came from a large family and that two of his brothers were named John and Martin. Any help on this would be deeply appreciated. Joseph's ancestry has been a real mystrery - it would be wonderful to discover it. Thanks.
