Paul G. Duckett(b. 12/10/1922) to Paul V. Duckett (b. 12/9/1888 in Clearfield) son of Patrick J. and Sarah Hodgeson Duckett of Clearfield.

4/21/2008 - Paul G. Duckett, 85, formerly of 108 Oak St., Warren, Pa., died Sunday April 20, 2008 at the Warren General Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born December 10, 1922 in Warren, Pa., to the late Paul Vincent and Myrtle Watt Duckett. He had resided his entire life in Warren.

Paul had served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a corporal and was employed with the former Rexnord, Inc., as a line inspector foreman, retiring in 1988 after 30 years service.

He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, Warren V.F.W., American Legion Post 135 and the Warren Eagles Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and bowler.

He is survived by his six children: Vince Duckett and his wife Kathy of Warren, Pa., Chuck "Dick" Duckett and his wife Donna of Huntsville, Alabama, Cindy Greeley and her friend Bob Sauchinitz of North Brunswick, NJ, Brian Duckett and his wife Vicki of Warren, Pa., Bill Duckett and his wife Jill of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., and Jim C. Duckett and his wife Carrie of Warren, Pa.; 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, good friend Mary Barbera of Warren, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Strandburg Duckett, whom he married April 3, 1948 in Warren, Pa.; two brothers, Joseph P. and Donald R. Duckett; and a sister Margaret Duckett Braley.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A vigil service will be conducted there at 2 pm. Tuesday. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 pm Wednesday with Rev. Fr. Raymond Gramata, Pastor of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Entombment will be at the Mausoleum of the Ascension in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery, where full military honors will be conducted by members of the Sheffield and Clarendon V.F.W. Funeral Detail.
