What would the most likely mode of transportation have been for a large group of people to travel from Schuylkill Co., PA to Clearfield Co., PA in about 1855? I know that it could have been by horse and wagon but was it possible to do this trip by raft or boat? Train?
I have an early mention of "landing in Clearfield from Dauphin Co.
