Hoping that someone will have info on some of the families that lived in the Bish settlement on Boone Mountain, Huston Twp., Clearfield Co., PA. It has grown up to be deep woods now, but there is a small cemetery in the middle of these woods, and many remains of old cellars and the like can be found here. IT looks as though at one time it was quite a little community on top of the mountain, but you would never know it now!
Some of the people that lived here include, but are not limited to: Bennett, Bish, Bundy, Vibbert, Himes, Reed, Shugars, Nulf, Garvin, Gifford, etc. There were some ties with families living in Pine Grove and Hickory Kingdom in Sandy Twp., Clearfield Co., PA. The families named above traveled across "The Devil's Racetrack" to get to church in Hickory and Pine Grove.
