Sherman, We find a Samuel, James and Benjamin in a Hawkins Co. TN militia in 1811. The Benjamin is probably your Ben. I would think it possable that James and Samuel could be Bens brothers. I would concider John on the 1790 census with three sons in his household a canidate to be father to all three. Hopfully, we will find out somday. I no longer think the 1810 census Samuel is the 1790 Samuel on the census. They should be closely related though.
