Looking for information on this O'Reilly family. Note: I have seen the last name as Riley on some census records.

What I know: My wife's great grandparents are Philip and Mary (Smythe or Smyth) O'Reilly. I have various years of birth for them. For example, Philip's tombstone shows the year 1871 yet some census records would suggest he was born later in 1876. Mary Smythe was born sometime in the early 1880s.

Philip is listed as immigrating to America in 1903 in the 1920 Census. Mary in 1905. However, in the 1930 Census he is listed as immigrating in 1913, and Mary in 1907. In the 1925 Iowa Census, Philip is listed as having lived in Iowa since around 1913 and Mary since 1915. Which dates are right? I'm not sure.

Philip's parents are listed in the 1925 census as Sylvester O'Reilly and Mary Sullivan, both born in Ireland. I can find nothing else on these two.

I don't know where the family originated in Ireland, but it was possibly County Cork. The family was in Hardin County, Iowa by 1920 and Philip and Mary stayed there until their deaths.

Can anyone help?
