Hi Don, I found the family listed under Randel in the 1900 Grants Pass, Josephine Co. Census but I think you have this so I won't repeat it. Then I found them in 1910 in Grants Pass under Randka but I won't repeat that Census either. I found a John Ourtis Randle who died Josephine Co. 8 April 1918 per death cert #35. Source: Oregon Death Index 1903-1998. However, I wonder if the Ourtis isn't a typo for Curtis? I'd try to get the obit for this person through the University of Oregon, http://libweb.uoregon.edu/general/gethelp.htm/ . Addie, John P., Albert, Theodore and Cora were living in Grants Pass in 1920. There is a Josephine County Historical Society, 512 SW Fifth St., Grants Pass, OR 97526, 541-479-7827. They might be a help with descendants. A John Peter Randle who lived in Josephine was born 29 Oct 1883. Source: World War I Draft Reg. card. A John Peter Randle b. 29 Oct 1883, born Concordia, KS was living in Plumas, CA when he filled out his WW II Draft Reg. card. A John Randle, born 29 Oct 1883, died September 1963. His soc. sec. # was assigned to him in CA before 1951. Source: Social Security Death Index. A John P. Randle, born 29 Oct 1883, KS died 4 Sept. 1963, Sacramento, Sacramento Co., CA. Source: CA Death Index 1940-1997. I don't know how to get copies of obits from this county but I'd post on their Message Board. A Walter Henry Randle b. 17 Dec 1885, Cloud Co., KS filled out his WWII Draft Reg. card while living at Fruitridge, CA, Mailing Addr=Route 4, box 4228, Sacramento, Sacramento Co., CA; Person Who Will Always Know Your Address=Mrs. Minnie Randle, same address as above; Employer=Southern Pacific Co., Electric Dept., General Shop, Sacramento. A Walter Henry Randle, born 17 Dec 1885, KS, died 27 Aug 1950, Sonoma Co., CA; Father's Surname-Randle. Source: CA Death Index 1940-1997. A Ruth M. Randle married 3 September 1911 in Josephine Co., OR. Source: OR Marriages 1906-1920. I'd contact the Historical Soc or Court House for more info. A Charles Randle was living in Portsmouth, NH, Military & Naval Forces in 1920. He was single, b. OR. An Albert A. Randle born 9 May 1902, OR died 1 Dec 1960, Sacramento; Mother's Maiden Name=Martel. Source: CA Death Index 1940-1997. A Cora B. Randle in 1930 was living with the Kilgore family in Salem, Marion Co., OR. Ira W. Kilgore, head household, b. IA, 29 yrs old, marr @ 26, laborer paper mill; Alice P., wife, b. OR, 30, marr @ 27; Richard R., b. OR, 2; and Cora B., sisterlaw, b. OR, 22, single, stenographer state house. I think obits are the best way to find descendants and hopefully you'll be able to get them from CA. I use www.switchboard.com to find people who are listed in the obits. Successful Hunting!
