Hi Bonnie, in 1930 Alfred was living in Rolla, Rolette Co., ND with his wife and child. Alfred E. Maloney, b. ND, 23 yrs old, marr @ 21; salesman confectionary store; Alice M., wife, b. ND, 23; Alfred, b. ND, 1 8/12ths. An Alfred E. Maloney b. 8 May 1906 and died 20 Jan 1997, Roseburg, Douglas Co., OR. Source: OR Death Index. You can request an obit from the Oregon Library System, www.oregonlibraries.net/ and choose Douglas Co. OLS seems to charge from $5 to $15/obit. Also the University of Oregon, http://libweb.uoregon.edu/general/gethelp.htm. They charge $30/hr research and a $7.50 minimum which is what it cost me for the last obit I requested.
