Get a load of this Jacob Onstott listed as if it were true. http://records.ancestry.com/Jacob_Onstott_records.ashx?pid=44455413 The same thing is happening with "records.ancestry.com" that happened with OneWorldTree. It's collecting ERRORS and publishing them as truths. And of course there's no way to correct them. The Jacob Onstott who died in 1842 in Muskingum Co, OH is NOT the son of George Onstott and Mary Catherine Kintner. Look in the 1840 census (search for Jacob Onstot* to get both of them) and find the TWO different Jacob Onstot*'s. Then look in the 1850 and 1860 census in Ashland Co, OH to find the son of George and Mary Catherine Kintner. The guy is Muskingum is the son of Henry Onstott and Ann Erbaugh and he's the one who married Margaret UNK. He's been published wrong for 10 years because no one is learning how to read the censuses that come free with their subscription to Ancestry. |
