I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is Dennis O'Keefe enlisted 13 Aug 1862 at Madison, Dane Co. WI. This is the info. we have found. O'Keefe, Dennis Enlisted age 30, married. Pension, filed 05 May 1891 IL. Died 16 Dec 1920, Chicago 1870 Sugar Creek, Walworth Co. WI, farmer 1880 Madison, Engineer in Capital Dennis, 1835 Ire - 1880 b. 1830 Margaret, 1835 Ire John, 1862 WI Kate, 1863 WI Eddie, 1865 WI Willie, 1867 WI 1880 Mary, 1866 WI Josephine, 1868 WI Lida, 1870 WI Kittie, 1872 WI 1900 can't locate 1907 reunion, Chicago 1910 Chicago Dennis, 1835 widow John, 1863 WI Minnie C, 1872 WI This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful. The format we are using is as follows: (We have his service record) Date/place of birth: Son of (Names of both parents, their dates/place of birth & death & burial: marriage date and place(s) of residence.
