Can some kind soul straighten me out on this? My husband's earliest known MYERS ancestor fought in War of 1812 in the vicinity of Sandusky/Cedar Point. We know that some of his children moved from Trumbull/Mahoning Co. OH to Wood County, but they lived in Bloom Twp. We found a reference to "Wood County OH Duplicate Tax 1827-1837" that lists John MYERS in Centre Twp 1835.
Where is Centre twp in relation to Bloom Twp? Are they now one and the same? Are they in very close proximity?
We believe that John Myers died in 1842 and we cannot find his burial place. Does anyone have Centre Twp burials that list John Myers born 1784 died 1842? We are coming to Wood Co next month and would love to photograph his grave if possible. Another possibility is that he was buried near Ft Meigs due to his war history. Can anyone help?
