I hope that someone can give me some advice. I have hit a brick wall. I am trying to find the graves and death dates of George Seibert, and his wife Catherine (Sipple) Seibert. The only record I can find of them is the 1880 Census, Marietta, Washington, Ohio…….
George Seibert, (b) abt. 1821 Germany
Catherine (b.) 1838 Germany
Mary E. (b) 1869 PA
John (b) 1871 PA
Rosanna (b) 1872 PA
Catherine (b) 1873 PA
William C. (b) 30 Aug. 1875 Marietta, Oh
Peter H. (b) 1878 OH
Henry William (b) 1878 OH
Tracy (b) 1879 OH

By the 1900 census they have disappeared from records. I believe that they died sometime between 1880 and 1900. In 1891 William C. Seibert, whom I am descended from moved to Columbus for employment. Many of his siblings moved also and are buried there. There is no record of them in Columbus.

I am willing to drive down to Marietta and search records. Where should I go? I’ve already searched what cemetery lists that can be found on line without success. From what I understand many of the records were destroyed in a flood early in the 1900s.

Thank you.
