The Warren County Genealogical Society is pleased to announce that the latest update to our web site is now available at
http://www.co.warren.oh.us/genealogy/

We now have over 253,000 separate index entries in 26 different categories. See what's new at
http://www.co.warren.oh.us/genealogy/What's%20New.htm

Some highlights of this update:

- by popular demand, we have added both a counter and a search engine to the website. The size of our web site exceeds the maximum allowed by the "FreeFind" search engine even after they doubled the their maximum allowable size for us. We have added a second search engine using Google.
CAUTION: Tests have shown that these two search engines often produce different results and neither of them appear to find "everything" that is listed on our site.

- 2 new books are now available:
The 2nd edition of "The History of Franklin in the Great Miami Valley" plus
"Quaker Education & the Miami Institute" [a defunct Quaker college that was located in Springboro]

- The results of our ongoing obituary project are being added to the website as a year is completed. This update includes over 1700 new entries going back an additional 14 years to 1906. We now have over 44,500 obituaries indexed

Our volunteers have been spending many hours at the microfilm reader to find and collect more obituaries working back a year at a time. If you have any Warren County obituaries that you donít see in our indexes, why not mail a copy to us at
