My grandparents are buried at Macksburg, not far from the Davidsons. My aunt happened to mention last week that her mother had said that "Grandpa Davidson (James) had red hair and a red mustache." I was in Salt Lake City and got an Atlas of Aurelius 1883 that shows the location of the Davidson farm (noted as heirs of William) that shows some WARDs and others' property. It also shows the village of Macksburg as having a store owned by James Davidson, near the "lower" bridge. As a sidenote, I have now proven that after he was widowed, John WARD married Mariah Perrigo, who was related by marriage to the COLES (quite involved, I'll explain separately), but still can't prove Harriet's family of origin.
Thanks for the quick response!
