Trying to locate burial location of Sylvester's parents:
John & Eva (Baker)Hines. They are listed in 1870 Census of
Dublin Twp., Mercer Co.,OH. Believe John had been married previously and had two sons, Adam & George by the 1st wife. John was a brother to Amos Hines and was shown in his household in the 1850 Census of Dublin Twp.,Mercer Co, OH. with the two boys. Since Eva was quite a lot younger,
she may have remarried after John died. My mother noted that Sylvester was raised by a family named: Fry or Frye.
This makes me believe John had died when Sylvester was young. Maybe Eva married into the Fry family?
I would greatly appreciate any help you might give me on this line.
