Rather than looking for Benjamin's death record, I think you need to concentrate on his birth or marriage. There are thousands of people that died Unknown/nameless.

The only genealogical information from their divorce record would be where they were married. It would also include the names and ages of his minor children, which you already know, plus who filed for what reason and any possible alimony or support due for the children.

Do you have Benjamin and Mildred's marriage record? It should include the names of Ben's parents. Then you can search for the parents' obits which may include the names and locations of Ben and his siblings and the siblings' obits may mention Ben.

Benjamin and Mildred were still married in April 1942 when he registered for the WWII draft. They then lived at 5129 Railroad Avenue in Sylvania, a suburb of Toledo. He said he was a landscape gardener at 3231 Detroit Ave. which may have been a fictitious address because there is no 3231 in the Toledo directory or it could be a vacant lot now.
