Rev. James K. Grimes lived in Monroe Township of Harrison County OH. He and his wife Ada were enumerated there in the 1880 Census. He was 28 years of age at that time, having grown up in Belmont County, son of John Grimes who had originally come from Ireland where he was born in the 1790s. What I want to learn is: what church or denomination did Rev. Grimes serve? (By the way, the groups who eventually merged to form the EUB denomination were the Evangelical Association and the United Brethren, both of which had initially been German-speaking churches. More recently the EUB merged with the Methodists to form the United Methodist Church.)
