That is exactly what I know about this woman....her name. She is listed on my great grandfather's death certificate, and she is unknown to me as a family member. My great grandfather was John Smith Crawford, and her name is found in the area where it states "If married, widowed or divorced Husband (or)wife of: Mrs. Herman Chase" Could she be a sister or an aunt? As far as I know he only had three sons and all with the last name of Crawford. This was in Findlay, Hancock County the year 1918. John's wife Sophronia was still alive in 1918, and her name is in cursive writing at the bottom of the certificate for informant Mrs. John S. Smith, Findlay, Ohio. Sure is possible they could have been divorced, but the name Chase is foreign to me. If you recognize who this woman could be, please contact me. Thank You Deborah Alohawahine75@aol.com |
