Haven't posted on this particular board in a long time, so thought I'd make mention of the website I've had for over 10 years now called Genealogy in Bloom Twp., Fairfield Co., OH" at www.foorgenealogy.com/gene.html It has many pages of census extractions, probate info, maps, newspaper extractions and a huge listing of all the cemeteries in Bloom township which includes photos and dates.

It has a site-search engine (two, actually) as well as a huge gedcom of over 33,000 individuals that I update on the site once a month. The site is for anyone who was ever born, died, buried, married, baptized, resided, etc., within Bloom township.

The only time I go 'up' a person's pedigree/ladder is to show connection to those that did reside (or died, etc.) within the township. If they leave the township, I try to follow them to their final resting place, and often it could be as far west as IN, IL, CO and CA.

There's also quite a bit of info in the gedcom that pertains to those in Madison Twp. of FRANKLIN Co., Ohio (due to some boundry changes in the mid-1800s) as well as Pickaway Co., Ohio.

Definitely worth searching the site if you have any Fairfield County, Ohio ancestors -- especially those west of Lancaster.

Also, if you post a message on the site, they eventually get archived and become searchable with the site-search engine. I've often heard, over the years, that people found a message on the site and that's how they were able to connect with each other.
