I'm seeking information on the PASCO/PASCOE/PASKO family who lived in Delaware County in the 1820-late 1830s.

In the History of Delaware County, it refers to "a man named Pasco, who was remarkable for having a very large family of children, and for being a millwright by trade. He built a mill on the Scioto River in early times... He finally moved to Indiana....Harvey and Pomeroy [NOTE: later known as Asa P.] Pasco, whose father built the mill obtained possession of it, and repaired it. This was probably about 1835, and for a few years the old mill was run by them"

The man/father is Stoddard Pasco who is found in the 1820 and 1830 census for Liberty, Delaware County. The family originated in Connecticut and at least one son - the above referenced Asa Pomeroy Pasco - was born there, in 1805. They are undoubtedly there on a land grant from the Revolutionary War.

In 1820 Stoddard Pasco is recorded as PASKO with 2 boys under 10, 2 boys 10-16, he's 45+ and one female 16-26.

In 1830 Sodard (sic) Pasco in Liberty, Delaware, Ohio with two teenage sons (15-20) , two full grown sons (20-30) and he's 50-60. one girl 5-10, one 10-15, one 20-30 and one 40-50.

in addition, i find reference to Harvey Pasco who marries Hannah Baird in Franklin County, Ohio in 1832 or 1836.

I am trying to determine what other offspring Stoddard had.

There is a Delaware County marriage of one Hulda Pasco to William A. Watson in the 1830s. They end up in Moultrie County, Illinois, as does the Harvey referenced above.

The son Asa Pomeroy did in fact go to Indiana (and then to Iowa). The father actually is found in 1840 in (what is now) Cass Co., Missoui (and reputed to have died there in 1844). Harvey is found in southern Illinois in Shelby and Moultrie Counties. At the same time Harvey is there, a HENRY Pasco is in the same area. Is Henry the brother to Harvey or are they one and the same person? Harvey is last known in 1843 and his wife (with their 5 children, some of whom are Ohio born) remarries twice -- in 1846 and 1849 -- in Moultrie Co, IL where she is found in 1850.

By 1830, there are Pascos in Belmont and Richmond Cos, OH. I don't know if they are related.

Besides trying to determine the relationship between Harvey and Henry, I"m trying to determine the ancestry of this Pasco line (which is documented with many suspect "facts" in a history of Hugh Pasco, of Connecticut).

Anyone working on this line?
