LORENSO DOW PARKER, son of JAMES and NANCY PARKER, was born March ll, l849, in Defiance County, Ohio, and died January 25, l925, at his home near Leon, in Decatur County, Iowa, aged 75 years, l0 months and ll days. He was united in marriage to ELIZABETH C. SUMMERLOT, November 7, l877. To this union were born five children: NANCY AGNES HONN, MARY ADDIE TURPIN and GEO. ALVIN, of Decatur County; JAMES A. G., of Portland, Oregon; and one child which died in infancy. MR. PARKER spent most of his life in Decatur County. He leaves to mourn their loss, four children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, one brother, JERRY PARKER, of Lacona, Iowa; one sister, MRS. JOHN HEAVLIN, of Newton, Iowa; besides other relatives and a host of friends. He was converted in a Pentecostal meeting at Davis City, Iowa, in l9l5, and worshipped there until his death.

The funeral was held Tuesday, January 27, at the Union Church in Davis City. Interment at Bethel Cemetery.
