In the 1930 Cleveland census the McCann's lived with Maybelle's parents, William and Mary RUDLOFF and their daughter, Eleanor then 9. Also living with them was William's brother-in-law William FREDERICK.

Elmer McCann was 25, wife Maybelle 23 and their children Dorothy 3, Elmer 2 and Robert O, actually 11 months.

Elmer E. McCann, a retired Lake National Bank executive who served on several Catholic boards, died Monday at his home in Cape Coral, Fla. He was 72.

The former Willowick resident worked for the Lake National Bank in Painesville from 1958 until retiring as assistant vice president in 1980, the year the bank merged with Banc One Corp.

He donated his banking expertise to various churches, schools and agencies of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, including the Lake Geauga Catholic Board of Education, the Catholic Service Bureau, Catholic Charities Corp. and the Serra Club of Lake and Geauga counties. Mr. McCann was honored for his role in the financial drive to build Lake Catholic High School, where he volunteered as an accountant for many years. He also served as an adviser to many Lake County parishes.

Mr. McCann, a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Magdalene Church in Willowick, was also a charter member of the Magnificat Knights of Columbus Council 4498 in Willowick and a member of the Knights' Cardinal Newman 4th Degree Assembly in Painesville.

He lived in Willowick for 27 years before moving to Florida in 1981. At one time, the Cleveland native was a resident of Euclid.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Lillian S.; daughter, Laura of Cape Coral; two brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 411 E. 321st St., Willowick.

Donations may be made to the Hope Hospice, 130 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, Fla. 33990 or to Blessed Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 S. W. 20th Ave., Cape Coral, Fla. 33991. The Jack Monreal Funeral Home of Willowick is in charge of arrangements.
