An Adele SCHORSCH arrived at Ellis Island on 8 Aug 1892 on the ship La Bourgogne from (Le) Havre. She was 22, single and her destination was New York. The were no G. Zaenger, Zanger, Saenger or Sanger passengers and no other Schorsches on that voyage.
This is Gust's obit; note the spelling of his surname:
Name: Scenger, Gust
Source: Cemetery record; Cleveland Necrology File, Reel #071.
Notes: age 49. West Park Cemetery Cleveland, Ohio
Gust's death cert is online at https://www.familysearch.org/ as Gust Saenger.
An Adeline Saenger married Theodore NAPPER June-Oct. 1934 but I can't find either of them in the OHDI or him, who would be near her age, in the 1930 census.
In 1920, the Alsace-Lorraine region was governed by France; then not considered Germany.
I am not related.
