Has anyone worked on Benjamin Johnson who died in 1872 in Clarke Co, Iowa. He was a native of Virginia, but raised in Highland Co Oh where he married in 1826 to Polly Johnson (dau of Charles and Susannah Terrell Johnson). Benjamin Johnson was almost certainly the son of William and Polly (Watkins) Johnson, but I cannot prove it. He lived neighbors in Clinton Co Oh (Jefferson twp) to three proven sons of Wm and Polly Johnson and is of the right age to be their son. My list of Benjamin Johnson's children is largely constructed from census records and has lots of minor contradictions but it is basically as follows: John Grandivan, Clementina, David C., William Edward, Anna M., Susannah, Ann Jane (Anjane), Benjamin W. Most of these children had accompanied their parents to Clarke Co Iowa.
