My guess is that Rosa Ziegler was born in the late 1840's. Could have been born in Germany or Iowa. Her parents were Michael Ziegler and Katharina Schwab. Here is the information that I have on them:
Michael L. Ziegler Born: 15 January 1790 in ??, Germany.
1850 census has Michael, Louisa, son Michael, and daughter Louisa living in Franklin, Brown County, OH with the real estate valued at $2,500
-1880 census has him living in Franklin, Brown County, OH as a widower and occupation as farmer.
+ Katharina Louisa Schwab b. April 15, 1793 in Altfroschen, Rheinpfalz, Germany. D. June 18, 1872 in Franklin, Brown County, OH.
-“They lived in Brown County, Ohio most of life. Their next neighbors were the Simpsons - mother of Ulysses Simpson Grant (18th President of the United States). He was an authority in Mathematica. He was the first of all the Zieglers to come to America. According to Jessie Wand he came in 1826 when her grandfather, Jacob (b. 1823) was 3 years old. They lived 8 miles from Georgetown, Ohio. He is buried at Arnheim, Ohio - near the Lutheran church 4 miles from the old farm house.”
