Jonathan Herrington has a Revolutionary War Pension file # R 4541

According to this file he enlisted in Glocester, Rhode Island in March of 1781 and served until February of 1782. He was “slightly wounded” at the siege of Yorktown.

His pension was granted on his application dated 14 Jan 1820 at which time he was living in Farmington, Ontario County, NY. The soldier died on 04 May 1847 in Denmark Township, Ashtabula County, OH.

Jonathan Herrington married on 11 Aug 1789 in Schenectady, NY to a lady named Patience. He last name is not given. In 1848 Patience was living in Denmark Township, Ashtabula County, Ohio and was 84 yeas of age.
