From the Clyde Democratic Herald dated Wednesday, May 17, 1899:
"Mrs. Eliza Baker, relict of Julius Baker died suddenly Sunday at the family residence, one mile east of North Rose. The deceased was 80 years of age. She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Jermiah, of Auburn, George, of Huron, and William, of North Rose, and Mrs. Jane Andrews, of Clyde."
From the Clyde Democratic Herald dated January 29, 1896:
"Early yesterday morning occurred the death of Julius Baker, of Rose, aged 86 years. He was born in connecticut in 1810 and moved to Willeit(?, not sure if spelling is correct, print hard to read), Cayuga county after his marriage, and to North Rose in 1860. A widow and four children survive."
NOTE: There was an obituarary for Julius' brother Charles A Baker (who died Aug. 17, 1890) in the Auburn Daily Bulletin dated Saturday, August 23, 1890. It said his parents came from Stratford, Conn. and mirgrated to Madison, Madison county, New York in 1817. It mentions two sisters, Mrs. J. Briggs of North Rose, Wayne county, and Mrs. William Mersereau of Cayuga village as well as Julius. There were eleven brothers and sisters but these were the only ones still living.
From the Clyde Democratic Herald dated Tuesday, April 21, 1891:
"Anson Benjamin one of our oldest residents passed away at his home on the Rose road Thursday night, at the age of 74 years. Funeral was held at his residence on Saturday afternoon."
Hope some of this helps.
