A. CRANE, of the ranching firm of CRANE & ELLIOTT, 9 miles from Stockton on the Cherokee Lane, whilst attempting to check his horses as they were passing through a gate with a hay-wagon, was brushed off and struck on the head with the hay rack, so that he fell senseless. He was taken up afterwards and well attended to, but died yesterday. Deceased was a native of Wayne county, New York, and aged about 30 years.
