In my post before I was looking for Riley Davis. As I stated, we have some family history that says Riley was raised by a Dr. I have managed to find Riley on the 1880 Neversink, Sullivan Census, listed as "Riley David", living with a Dr. LaMoree/Lamreaux/Lemoreaux. Dr. James Lamoree, his wife Elizabeth, and mother-in-law, Caty Osterhout...Any of these families with info to share about Riley (and why he ended up with them) would be greatly appreciated.
