Looking for information on Major General Schuyler Hamilton. He was a Civil War General and was in charge of the NYC Volunteers. He was also a member of the GAR and I think the Society of Cincinnati. He the cabinet photo I have of him showes him wearing the Hamilton Crest ring on his left pinkie. He also has a GAR pin on his lapel and what looks like a Society of Cincinnati pin, but not sure.
