Hi Carol: My email appears if you click on my name on the posted message. I am far from being an expert in family research. As all of us who have the 'genealogy bug' know, it's a game of hit and misses and sadly, sometimes more misses than hits. If you've been researching for 13 years you have probably exhausted all of the online resources but sometimes another set of eyes does see something that we've missed. When I first started my research I was told to start with myself and work backward...you, your parents, siblings, grandparents and so forth. Misspelling of names is, as you know, very common in census (and other) records. Places of birth and ages also vary from document to document. I used to think it was just women who lied about their age..not so..men did too!! Send me the information that you do know and I'll take a look. I'll gather together some research sites that I use that have been helpful. Yes, I do have Ancestry. Carolyn |
