Looking for any information on Isaac Bennet(t) who lived in Orleans County, New York (Ridgeway Twp near Medina)from approximately 1807-1830. He may be buried there. He owned the salt works on the Oak Orchard Creek which was instrumental in the building of the Erie Canal. Four of his older children, Jesse, Aquilla, John and Hannah emigrated to York County, Ontario. His two youngest children, Jacob and Regina ("Jinny"), stayed in the Medina area. We know that he was born around 1755 supposedly in Virginia, lived in Somerset County, PA (Brothersvalley and Quemahoning) from 1783-1804, swapped 2,000 acres of land surveyed by Archibald Wood, Moses Chapline, James and John Caldwell on the Little Kanawha River and Middle Island Creek in present-day West Virginia, but then around 1807 or 1811 buys land in Western New York from Holland Land Company Agent Andrew Ellicott. Any information on his parents, wife (maiden name), where he actually was born, etc would be valuable. Thank you.
