I suspect that Otis Darling divorced his wife Keziah Witherall some time in 1815. He had posted a notice in a local paper in March 1815, stating that his wife had run away with another man, and that he would no longer be responsible for her debts. He lived in Eaton, NY at the time. Later in 1815 he remarried to Elizabeth "Betsey" Chubbuck, daughter of Simeon and Lydia (Pratt) Chubbuck of Eaton. A couple of years later they moved to PA. Where can I write to look for divorce records from that early date? At the county level they only seem to have divorce records from 1900. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
