Death by Drowning
A Sad Accident- A young boy by the name of Freddie Baldwin was drowned at Little River, in the south part of this town on Tuesday last. In crossing a stringer over the sluice-way of the Mac Bros. dam, the stringer broke and the boy fell into the water below. The current of course was very strong and he was carried over the dam and beneath the ice in the stream below. The body of the unfortunate boy was not recovered until ten o'clock the next morning , when it was found about eighty rods below the dam. Freddie was a bright and promising boy, ten years old, and his sad death brings the deepest of grief to his afflicted father, Mr. George Baldwin
