THE PROBABLE ANCESTRY FOR GARDNER SPENCER
According to the 1820 Census in Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY, Gardner Spencer lived close to Rufus Spencer and David Spencer. How is Gardner connected to the two? Rufus Spencer fought in Revolutionary War. He fought in Rev War in Col. Joab Stafford's Company. Furthermore, Rufus fought with Capt. Pearce on Col. Warren's Regiment enlistment for 10 mos. The ancestry of Rufus is listed below. Be aware that there are probably errors.

Gardner Spencer married Polly Hall (d. of Elisha Hall and Rosanna Canfield of Russia, Herkimer Co., NY). They moved to Brownville, NY where Polly died on January 2, 1849.
