Hi Leona,
Someone on this list sent me census record from 1900. It has Fred and Alice Maggy Page Hess having been married for three years. There is an Earl Hess 16, living with them.
A few doors away are Daniel 73, and Annice 64, Fred's parents.

I believe that Alice and Fred married after Fred's first wife died. Alice was his housekeeper, Fred was 20 years older than Alice. Earl was probably from his first marriage. I don't think they had and children together, the info I have says they adopted a daughter, Mable Hess.

In the 1870 census, it shows a Daniel and Annice Hess having the following children, John 16, Cnythia 14, and Fred 12, Daniel 9, Caroline 6, Mariah 3, and Abner 2mo.

I believe Alice is buried in Elmwood Cemetary, but I will take your advice and contact Mr. Herron for a location.

I would love to maybe find someone who may have pictures of Fred and Alice, or find any surviving descendants. Any help you may be able to give is so greatly appreciated.

Thanks again Leona Lila George
