I have a William George Baldwin who is listed in the 1850 census living with Jonas and Ruth Baldwin. Their sons William and George are also listed along with Warren and Luther. I am thinking that Jonas must be my Wm George's Uncle. Our family story is that he was born in England. Apparently my grandfather told my cousin that his Father was from Kent. However, all the census records show him as being born in New York. However I can't find any records. William moved to Wapaca Wisconsin and married Mary Starks in 1858. In 1860 they moved back to New York and are shown living with Jonas again. They had children in NY: Frank, Nellie, Samantha, Freddie. In 1870 they moved back to Wisconsin where they had Charles and my grandfather Johnson. My ggrandmother died two weeks after his birth in 1874. In 1878 William died. Johnson was sent to live with his maternal aunt and her husband: Cora and Johnson Tarr. I would really like to know if Jonas had any brothers who could be W. George's father. In the US census of 1900, Warren C is shown living in Wisconsin.
