Rachael Luff Sloman, a distant ancestor of mine, married a Mr. Kingsbury about 1815-1820. They were said to have children together. (She was a young widow, and had 2 children by her first marriage.) I don't yet know anything about him, but maybe your Kingsbury is a descendant of theirs.
Rachael came to Sackets Harbor in 1805, daughter of Samuel Luff and Sarah Parker of Kent/Sussex, England. She married George Sloman, also of Sussex, England. They married in Utica, NY in 1805, on their way upstate.
Samuel Luff was a miller, in his 50's when he came to Sackets Harbor, with his second wife Sarah Colbran, and all but one of his children, some in their 20's by then.
