looking for info about great-grandparents Fred and Gertrude Day.Fred was an electrician who helped install the first electricity to the town of Antwerp and later was head electrician at St. Regis Paper Mill, Deferiet, NY. probably 1905 to the 1920's. His mother was Harriet Ann Day. Gertrude Hovey was placed in an orphanage in Watertown, NY at age 12, along with a sister Rachael, because of their mother's death. That would have been about 1883 until 1887. Fred and Gertrude had two daughters, Blanch b. 1895 and Gladys b.1899. Gladys was my husband's paternal grandmother.
