The Mountain Eagle, weekly newspaper published at Tannersville, Town of Hunter, Greene County, New York, issue of Tuesday, May 11, 1993 Michael Berrio ROXBURY - Michael X. Berrio, 43, of Roxbury, died April 25, 1993 in the town of Middleburgh. He was born Aug. 23, 1949 in Geissen, Germany, the son of Julio and Margaret (Muller) Berrio. He married Rosemarie (Sandy) Cerkaski on July 30, 1977 in Roxbury. Mr. Berrio was a graduate of West Islip High School and a graduate of the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in forestry. He joined the Air Force R.O.T.C. and on Oct. 31, 1974, he joined the NYS Environmental Conservation Law Enforcement Division. He spent three years on Long Island before being transferred to this area in 1977. He was a member of the Margaretville Masonic Lodge, the N.R.A., the Catskill Mountain Police Association, the N.Y.S. Conservation Officers Association, the Conservation Dept. Division Honor Guard and also the Conservation Officer's P.A. Mr. Berrio is survived by his wife, Rosemarie (Sandy) Berrio of Roxbury and one daughter, Jessica Berrio, also of Roxbury. He is also survived by his parents, Julio and Margaret Berrio of Long Island; two brothers, Raymond Berrio of Long Island and Ralph Berrio of North Carolina, and one sister, Karen Abbruzzese of New Jersey. Funeral services were conducted April 28, at Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury, with the Rev. Richard Price, officiating. Committal services were held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Mr. Berrio's memory may be made to the Roxbury Fire Department. Funeral arrangements were by Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
