I am glad to make your acquaintance! I have no proof that James Wilson and Zubah are the parents of Mary Wilson who m. Thomas Washburn. I do, however, have a good case of circumstantial evidence. First, the census records have James Wilson and ALL the Washburns listed on the same page; they were obviously close neighbors. Secondly, James is the right age to be Mary's father. Thirdly, he has a wife named Zubah, which is not very common, and Thomas and Mary had a daughter named Zubah. Last but not least, there is a bio of an Isaac Wilson who is also the right age in that area which lists his children, and Mary is not on the list. My suspicion is that more than likely James and Isaac were brothers; in fact, Isaac had a son named James b. 1778. I do not know where the Wilsons came from, possibly Dutchess Co. where Mary and Thomas were supposedly married. [that info from descendants, no records]
Do you know if James was in the Rev. War? Also, do you know Zubah's maiden name, or any of their ancestry? I would love to have any info you have on James Jr. or Ester. Thanks for answering my query. If I have anything you need, I will gladly share it.
