Hi Mary, many thanks for responding to my
query, I had another person to respond that was able to brief me on the history, he says Lordville was named for a John Lord. I am looking for my ancestor, John T. Lord. He supposedly was in the Pennsylvania area before the Rev. War with his brother Benjamin. Benj. went back to England after the war, but John stayed and went on into Virginia, and now his descendants are scattered all over. I was reviewing some of my notes last night and noticed Lordville, Delaware County. There is some question as to what the T. stands for, my history says Thomas, others say it is Taylor. I know of only one child, I am sure there are others, but the only one I know of is John T. Lord, Jr., he was born in Virginia.
Any info would certainly be appreciated, and again, thank you for your response.
