I am researching the ARNOLD family and believe that I am related to Joseph ARNOLD who is buried in the Tully Cemetery in Tully, Onondaga Co., New York. Joseph was born circa 1780 in Rhode Island and married Barbara ----. Barbara's maiden name may have been DUTICOTT. Barbara was also born circa 1780 in Rhode Island. They had a son named George ARNOLD who was born circa 1805 in Rhode Island. He married Clarinda ----. I believe that Joseph and Barbara also had sons named Joseph Charles ARNOLD and Abram W. ARNOLD. Abram is my gg-grandfather. Both Charles and Abram were born in Rhode Island. While going through some old files of mine, I found a listing for ARNOLD burials in the Tully Cemetery in Tully, New York. This was from my "early" days of research and I didn't list the source for it. I did write on it that it was "Tully Cemetery List of Headstone Readings Done in '58." I have searched the internet for the same list, but found nothing with the same level of detail that this list has. The ARNOLDs were living in Cortland Co. before moving to Onondaga Co. Here is the ARNOLD information from the Tully Cemetery list: ARNOLD Erva M. died 20 Mar 1867, age 17 years Minnie O. died 13 Oct 1868, age 13 years George died 2 Apr 1872, age 67 years Co H, 14th U.S. In Clarinda died 24 Nov 1894, age 76 years, his wife Joseph died 23 Nov 1865, age 84 years Barbara died 11 May 1853, age 73 years, his wife Rossallas L. died 4 Oct 1884, age 49 years, their son Mary J. died 9 Jun 1906, age 65 years, his wife Kirtland G. [C?], died 21 Jun 1887, age 51 years John M. died 26 Nov 1898, age 61 years Joseph R. died 17 Oct 1906, age 56 years On another page ARNOLD John died 1845, age 51 years Cynthia died 23 Jan 1865, age 69 years, 1 month, his wife Henry died 8 Mar 1886, age 61 years Henry died 8 Oct 1864, age 15 years Caroline died 8 Oct 1864, age 15 years Henry V. died 1894, age 72 years On another page ARNOLD Kirchanel - 1826-1914 Cordelia - 1832-1914, his wife Florence Edna died 20 Jun 1870, age 7 years, 9 mos., their daughter Hattie M. - 1853-1946 Albert K. - 18491931 Elizabeth A. - 1857-193[?], his wife Does anyone see a connection with their ARNOLD ancestors in Onondaga Co. or Cortland Co.?
