Edward Griffin, born 1879, Homer, NY, was reportedly killed in the train station in Homer or Cortland. Apparently he was mistaken for an intruder and was hit with a club resulting in his death. He was enumerated in the 1900 Homer census residing with his parents but I've been unable to locate him in the 1910 census. Perhaps his death occured between 1900 and 1910. Is there a death index for Homer? Would the Historical Society possibly have records of deaths occuring under such circumstances? Thanks very much. Carolyn |
