Dr. Willis McGraw of Cortland. defied the elements in an effort to reach the bedside of Arthur "Warren. 17, of the Scott-Glen Haven Road, who was stricken yesterday with heart attack disease. The physician's car became stuck in a snowbank and tbe youth died as volunteers opened the way
with shovels. Young Warren-was ill a long time and . as valedictorian of the Scott graduating class, was forced to take his June Regents in bed. Dr. Willis H. McGraw and Mrs. McGraw of Cortland have announced the engagement of their daughter. Harriet Watson, to Lieutenant Charles Franklin Sornberger U. S. A. Medical Corps, son of Dr. Frank E, Sornbcrger and Mrs,
Sornborger also of Cortland '
Miss McGraw attended NorthlMd Seminary and was graduated from Mount Holyoke College this year. Lieutenant Sornberger was graduated from Dartmouth College In
1930 and received a medical degree from Syracuse University In 1940.

Dr. Henry McGraw 97,of 60 Church St., a practicing physician here since 1912, died Monday afternoon.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4pm Wednesday at the United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements will be made by Wright-Beard Funeral Home. Memeorial gifts may be made to the Cortland Memorial Hospital Maternity Fund.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Watson McGraw; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Wadman of Auburndale,Mass., Miss Margaret McGraw of Cortland and'Mrs. Franklin Sornberger of Hampton, Conn., and a son, Cameron McGraw of
Philadelphia, Pa.
Born in Cortland, he 'was the son of Marcus H. and Martha
Sturdevaht McGraw. Dr. McGraw was educated .in Cortland
public schools and prepared for
college at Cortland Normal
S c h o o l . and Lawrenceville School, N. J.
He was a graduate of Princeton
Univesity, class of 1897,'a.nd
attended the College of Physicians
and Surgeons in New
York City and the Homeopathic
Collge of Chicago, 111.
Dr. McGraw began medical practice in Enid, at that time in
the territory of Oklahoma. He later practiced in Thornton, Ind., and in 1912 returned to Cortland where he practiced until his death. He was on the teaching staff of Cortland Memorial Hospital and a member of the .teaching
staff in obstetrics. Prominent in
church affairs, Dr. McGraw
was a. member and elder of. the
Presbyterian Church,for many
years. He served" as :a captain
in the Army Medical Corps during
World War I. '
